FAQs

Do you take insurance?

Yes! I’m in-network with BCBS, Anthem BCBS, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare and Cigna. Many plans cover 3+ visits at no cost to you. If you’re unsure what your plan includes, I’m happy to run a free benefits check before you book.

What if my insurance doesn’t cover nutrition counseling?

You can still work with me as a self-pay client. Nutrition coaching is one of the most worthwhile investments in your long-term health. I also offer superbills if you’d like to try submitting for out-of-network reimbursement.

Where is your office located?

I see clients virtually in:
Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Virginia.

I also see clients in person at The Holistic Health Collective in Grand Rapids, MI (3368 Beltline Ct. NE, Suite 13).

Who do you work with?

I specialize in helping women of all ages—especially those dealing with weight loss resistance, hormone imbalances, insulin resistance, or prediabetes. Whether you’re cycling, perimenopausal, or postmenopausal, we’ll create a personalized plan that supports your unique biology and lifestyle.

Can you help with weight loss?

Yes—and we’ll do it without the crash diets or calorie obsession. My approach focuses on metabolism, hormones, blood sugar, and sustainable lifestyle changes that actually last.

Do you offer meal plans?

Yes, but never cookie-cutter ones. I provide customized meal plans with recipes tailored to your needs, preferences, goals, and (if available) lab data. You’ll also get practical tools for eating out, meal prep, and staying consistent on busy days.

What do you mean by “metabolic health”?

Metabolic health is how efficiently your body creates and uses energy. It includes things like blood sugar control, insulin sensitivity, cholesterol, inflammation, fat storage patterns, energy, and more. When your metabolism is dysregulated, you might gain weight easily, hit plateaus, or feel constantly tired. My job is to help you optimize it.

Do you incorporate fasting into your nutrition plans?

Yes, for clients who are interested and medically appropriate for it. I offer personalized guidance around intermittent fasting and meal timing as tools to improve insulin sensitivity, energy, and metabolism—not as punishment or restriction. We’ll always make sure it fits your lifestyle and is done in a safe, supported way.

I’ve tried every diet—how is this different?

Because this isn’t a diet. I don’t hand you a one-size-fits-all meal plan or tell you to eat 1,200 calories. I help you understand how your metabolism, hormones, and habits work together, so we can build a strategy that actually sticks.

Can I work with you even if I don’t want to lose weight?

Absolutely. While weight loss is a common goal, it’s not the only one I support. Whether you’re focused on hormone balance, energy, blood sugar, gut health, or building a better relationship with food, we’ll tailor our work to your specific goals.

What can I expect during our first session?

We’ll take a deep dive into your medical history, current eating habits, lifestyle, and goals. From there, I’ll build a customized nutrition plan and give you realistic steps to move forward. You’ll also get access to secure messaging, food journal feedback, and ongoing support between visits.

How soon can I be seen?

I see most new clients within 24–72 hours after booking. My availability is flexible and typically much faster than most traditional clinics.

How do I get started?

Start with a free discovery call. We’ll talk about your goals, answer your questions, and make sure it’s a good fit. If you decide to move forward, I’ll verify your insurance coverage and get your first session on the books.
